We discuss it in our article today. <\/h2>\n<p>Dear <strong>Friends of Pesto Fresco<\/strong>, today we are going to tell you some news about one of our typical Ligurian products that we are most fond of: the <strong>Zucchina Trombetta<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe <strong>Zucchina Trombetta<\/strong>, renowned and appreciated all over the world, is one of the four excellences of Albenga, together with Asparago Violetto di Albenga, Carciofo Spinoso di Albenga and Pomodoro Cuore di Bue di Albenga  <strong> <\/strong><br \/>\nIt is <span style=\"color: #333333; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300;\">a peculiar species of <\/span><strong style=\"color: #333333; font-style: normal;\">light green <\/strong>zucchini  with a thin, elongated shape, a rounded end, and a <strong>very elegant flower<\/strong> at either end. The flower is lily-like with a yellow color and somewhat wrinkled texture, which is also edible. <\/p>\n<h3>Where does the Trumpet Squash come from?<\/h3>\n<p>It is one of the products that in ancient times Ligurian <strong>sailors<\/strong> brought to Liguria from their voyages to the <strong>Americas<\/strong>.<br \/>\nFinding ideal climatic conditions for its cultivation, today the Zucchina Trombetta is one of the <strong>typical products of Liguria<\/strong>, and more specifically an excellence of production in the <strong>Albenga Plain<\/strong>. In fact, it is also called <strong>Zucchina Trombetta di<\/strong> <strong>Albenga<\/strong> or <strong>Rampicante di Albenga<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe Zucchina Trombetta is actually the unripe fruit of the <strong>Zucca Trombetta<\/strong>. In fact, left attached to the plant, the &#8220;trumpet&#8221; ripens, taking on an amber color and an entirely different flavor.
