{"id":7308,"date":"2019-08-10T15:26:29","date_gmt":"2019-08-10T13:26:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pestofresco.eu\/ligurian-style-meatloaf\/"},"modified":"2019-08-10T15:26:29","modified_gmt":"2019-08-10T13:26:29","slug":"ligurian-style-meatloaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pestofresco.eu\/en\/ligurian-style-meatloaf\/","title":{"rendered":"Ligurian-style meatloaf"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>A traditional vegetarian dish, Ligurian-style Meatloaf is delicious and perfect for an appetizer, a buffet or one of the many summer picnics.<br \/>\nDiscover it with us!<\/h2>\n<p>Dear Friend or Friend of <strong>Pesto Fresco<\/strong>, <strong>Ligurian-style Meatloaf<\/strong> has <strong>potatoes and green beans<\/strong> as its basic ingredients and is ideal for <strong>convivial occasions<\/strong> and summer picnics.<br \/>\nOf poor tradition, the recipe has been handed down from generation to generation.<br \/>\nIt has a rather strong flavor of <strong>fresh marjoram<\/strong>, an aromatic herb that is very common in Liguria, which also grows wild in our colines and can now also be found grown in pots.<br \/>\nThis meatloaf, given its total absence of meat, is very suitable for friends who follow a <strong>vegetarian diet<\/strong>.<br \/>\nWould you like the recipe to prepare it for your <strong>August<\/strong> beach day?<br \/>\nFollow the recipe for Ligurian-style Meatloaf that we quote from the website<strong>  The Silver Spoon!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients of Ligurian-style Meatloaf<\/h3>\n<p>700 g green beans<\/p>\n<p>3-4 potatoes<\/p>\n<p>1 onion<\/p>\n<p>3 eggs<\/p>\n<p>80 g of grated parmesan cheese<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon chopped fresh marjoram<\/p>\n<p>Extra virgin olive oil<\/p>\n<p>1 knob of butter<\/p>\n<p>Breadcrumbs<\/p>\n<p>Nutmeg<\/p>\n<p>Halls<\/p>\n<h3>Preparation of Ligurian-style Meatloaf<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash the <strong>potatoes <\/strong>and boil them with their skins on for 35 minutes.<br \/>\nDrain them and mash them while still hot in a potato masher, letting the pulp fall back into a bowl. Peel the <strong>green beans<\/strong> and boil them in salted water for 10 to 15 minutes.<br \/>\nDrain, chop and mix with the mashed potatoes. Peel and chop the <strong>onion<\/strong>, saut\u00e9 it gently in 3 tablespoons water and 3 tablespoons<strong>extra-virgin olive<\/strong><strong>oil <\/strong> in a skillet for 3-4 minutes, then combine it with the potato and green bean mixture along with the <strong>marjoram<\/strong> and stir.  <\/li>\n<li>Shell the <strong>eggs<\/strong> in a bowl, mix with Parmesan cheese, season with salt and a grating of <strong>nutmeg<\/strong>. Finally incorporate to the vegetables, mixing well until smooth. <\/li>\n<li>Turn the oven on to 180\u00b0. Butter an oven dish and sprinkle it with <strong>breadcrumbs<\/strong>, gently spread the mixture making an even layer of about 2 centimeters. Line the surface with the tines of a fork, sprinkle with a little breadcrumbs, garnish with a few butter flakes and bake for 25-30 minutes until the surface is lightly browned.<br \/>\nLet cool and serve.
