Today, friends of Pesto Fresco, let’s talk about a beautiful event: the eighth edition of “The Leap of the Anchovy” in Laigueglia.
Organized by the Municipality of Laigueglia with the Pro Loco tourist association, it takes place on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, 2019. Here is the program!
Dear friends of Pesto Fresco, Il Salto dell’Acciuga is back in Laigueglia, where theencounter between the land and the sea is revived, a new stage with the renewed Salt Road.
Here many of the communities that share this story met in a beautiful seaside village.
An extraordinary weekend of encounters and discoveries, where all the cultures present come together in a chase of events that merge into one great people who grew up on the shores of the Mediterranean.
In fact, we eat the same food and play a folk music whose rhythms spread like perfumes from our Ligurian Riviera to Greece, from Turkey to Spain.
A spirit of sharing and stories of civilization.
The Sea is the underlying theme of Laigueglia’s The Anchovy Leap.
The tale of the sea is thus the main theme, with the words and music it gives to the men who know how to listen to it.
And there are also the gifts of the sea, which represent concreteness, as in the case of the fish that have always provided sustenance and income.
A number of events have been organized to celebrate the gifts of the sea, its tales, and its reasons, in addition to the gastronomic itinerary related to turquoise fish.
Also this year, to honor the sea that hosts and tells us, the ” street food” is proposed, which is called The Mediterranean on the plate: recipes, flavors and fragrances of peoples facing the same sea and presents 27 points on the road.
Here you can taste different and captivating preparations, to be discovered all along the beautiful historic center of Laigueglia.

His words will fly again in the free en plein air reading by the group Cosa vuoi che ti legga? but also in the musical reading in which we find Livio Bernardini, Beppe Mecconi and Egildo Simeone . - Instead, at most two seagulls animate the musical reading of The Floating Pieces;

- Written and read words are the focus of the literary contest I’ll Read You in 10 Minutes, new this year, open to short stories set in Laigueglia, which can be read in no more than 10 minutes
- The sea also tells us about music, where tradition and innovation have always contaminated each other.
It kicks off with a tammorra lesson by Neapolitan folk music group SoleLuna and continues with The Night of Neapolitan RockFolk, a veritable saraband of Neapolitan music and dance.
Also performing will be The Great Occitan Orchestra and the students of Sergio Berardo’s Occitan Folk Music School, a regular guest, and the Demuelìn, a dialect folk duo that will enliven Saturday’s Laigueglie afternoon with touring songs from the Ligurian folk tradition - Art is present with the exhibits Ti affido mio figlio (I entrust you my son), curated by Giuliano Arnaldi of the Tribaleglobale Foundation in Onzo (in the hinterland of Albenga), in which works by German sculptor Rainer Kriester are displayed; artistically recyclable plastics are the works of Filippo Biagioli; and environmental scenery, three-dimensional metal tracings, visions of terrestrial life populate the exhibition by Sergio Fantoni.
